Apache Oozie is a Java Web application used to schedule Apache Hadoop jobs. Oozie combines multiple jobs sequentially into one logical unit of work. It is integrated with the Hadoop stack, with YARN as its architectural center, and supports Hadoop jobs for Apache MapReduce, Apache Pig, Apache Hive, and Apache Sqoop.

Basic Description about Oozie work flow…

Oozie is a server based Workflow Engine specialized in running workflow jobs with actions that run Hadoop Map/Reduce and Pig jobs.

Oozie is a Java Web-Application that runs in a Java servlet-container.

For the purposes of Oozie, a workflow is a collection of actions (i.e. Hadoop Map/Reduce jobs, Pig jobs) arranged in a control dependency DAG (Direct Acyclic Graph). "control dependency" from one action to another means that the second action can't run until the first action has completed.

Oozie workflows definitions are written in hPDL (a XML Process Definition Language similar to JBOSS JBPM jPDL).

Oozie workflow actions start jobs in remote systems (i.e. Hadoop, Pig). Upon action completion, the remote systems callback Oozie to notify the action completion, at this point Oozie proceeds to the next action in the workflow.

Oozie workflows contain control flow nodes and action nodes.

Control flow nodes define the beginning and the end of a workflow ( start , end and fail nodes) and provide a mechanism to control the workflow execution path ( decision , fork and join nodes).

Action nodes are the mechanism by which a workflow triggers the execution of a computation/processing task. Oozie provides support for different types of actions: Hadoop map-reduce, Hadoop file system, Pig, SSH, HTTP, eMail and Oozie sub-workflow. Oozie can be extended to support additional type of actions.

Oozie workflows can be parameterized within the workflow definition). When submitting a workflow job values for the parameters must be provided. If properly parameterized (i.e. using different output directories) several identical workflow jobs can concurrently.

NEW FEATURES OF ANDROID L (Lolipop)

Google has officially unveiled Android L at it’s I/O 2014. There are plenty of cool new features, there is many changes in UI and UX than the previous version of android Kitkat. There are also enhancements for battery life and deeper app integration across the board. Apart from all there are several major cool features in the new Android L. If you are nexus 5 or nexus 7 user then you can taste new Android L or for mobile app development.

1. New Interface: Material Design

Android L will bring a totally new user interface to the most popular mobile operating system in the world. The new interface will be based on a design language called Material Design, which adds more animations, shadows. The navigation bar also get a whole new look with this release the Home, Back and Multitasking keys are now symbolized by a circle, triangle and square that makes it pretty good.

2. Redesigned Recent Apps : 3D Multitasking

The multitasking menu of Android will get a 3D look in android L. This is also courtesy Material Design and shows the open apps as overlapping cards. The 3D effect is generated with the help of “shadows and perspectives,” Google says. Google says this will make multitasking on your devices easier.

3. Enhanced Notifications

There is major change in notification bar. Now notifications in Android L will appear like Google Now cards and will be accessible right from the lock screen on Android devices. Therefore, users will be able to read, open and dismiss notifications without unlocking their smartphone or tablet.

4. 64-Bit Compatibility

Just like Apple’s iPhone, Google has announced that Android supports 64-bit processors from the next version. This means that addressable memory constraints are now lifted and Android devices will be able to make full use of the available RAM.

5. Improved Battery Life

Android L is expected to bring some serious battery improvements to your mobile devices via Google’s Project Volta. Featuring a built-in battery saver that detects when your handset is low on juice, the app can automatically reduce CPU load and display brightness . According to Google, the feature can get you an additional 90 minutes of juice. That’s a lot of power when you’re running on empty. Android will now estimate how long it takes to fully charge the battery. When your device is plugged in, the lock screen will display how long it will take until your battery reaches 100%.

Review of Lekar Hum Deewana Dil

Stories like Lekaar Hum Deewana Dil did very well in the '80s but that's just about when these concepts had begun to fade out. The problem with this film is that it has released late by a couple of decades.

Dino (Armaan Jain) is a carefree guy who is great friends with Karishma (Deeksha Sheth) and since they like each other a lot or may be, love each other, the equation is not very clear. They decide to elope, as Karishma's family wants her to get married since they have a lucrative marriage offer for the young girl.

The two keep hopping from one city to another and then realise that life is not easy. When the two walk into a hotel to check in, Karishma tells Dino that she was not told by him to carry any money. Can you believe grown ups talking this language in today's day and age!

The adventure isn't over yet; they somehow manage to land in some dangerous territory where Naxals rule and not that they have a tough time there. Our hero is dancing with an item girl and entertaining everyone.

In difficult times, the two start arguing and fighting and see the worst side of each other and decide to part ways. The person who thought of such an absurd plot should take the blame for this debacle.

Armaan Jain is too young to face the camera and entertain the audience on the big screen and to hit the right chord, he should wait till he is offered the perfect script that suits his age. The female lead, Deeskha has a good screen presence but has little scope since the writing doesn't give her much potential to show any talent.  

Music by AR Rahman is not as melodious and below average just like the film.

Director Arif Ali, the brother of Imtiaz Ali fails to entertain through this stale formula with appalling direction.
